Looking after yourself while caregiving

Caring for someone is a job most people take on with no training, no handover and no end date, while holding down everything else. The practical questions are answerable and the hard ones are at least survivable in company.

The kind of thing that belongs here

  • Getting a parent assessed when they do not want to be.
  • Navigating home support and what is actually covered.
  • Siblings who do not agree.
  • Looking after yourself while doing this.

What does not belong here is anybody telling anybody else what to take. Nothing posted in a forum is medical advice, and a conversation is not a substitute for being assessed.
