Walking, strength and balance
Of everything discussed in healthspan, this is the part with the strongest evidence and the widest gap between knowing and doing. The difficulty is rarely the science. It is the first six weeks, the bad knee, and the question of what to do on the days you cannot face it.
The kind of thing that belongs here
- Restarting strength training at sixty-eight after a long gap.
- What people actually do for balance, and whether it helped.
- Managing a training plan around arthritis.
- Walking groups on the Island.
What does not belong here is anybody telling anybody else what to take. Nothing posted in a forum is medical advice, and a conversation is not a substitute for being assessed.
