Community guidelines

What the communities are for

People working on the same things, sharing what they have learned. They are a place to compare notes, ask what others have found useful, and feel less alone with a question.

Not medical advice

Nothing posted in a community is medical advice, and a conversation is not a substitute for being assessed. Please talk about your own experience rather than telling someone else what to take, how much, or what to stop. Posts that do are taken down.

Looking after your privacy and others

  • Other members see only your display name. Do not use your real name, email address or phone number, and do not put them in a post.
  • Do not share details that could identify another person, such as their name, address or health records.
  • Keep questions about your own care for your own care team. We cannot give advice about your health in a community.
  • Please do not post reviews or recommendations of specific providers or of Monarch Health. If you have a question about our services, contact us directly.

Being kind

Disagree politely. No personal attacks, no pressure to follow a particular approach, and no advertising or links to things for sale.

How moderation works

  • Every new thread is read by a moderator before it appears.
  • Your first few comments are read before they appear. After that, your comments appear straight away, and a moderator can still remove anything.
  • Posts that share contact details, links or what looks like a dose are held for a moderator whoever wrote them.
  • You can report any post. A moderator will look at it, but we cannot promise how quickly.
  • You can start your own thread once your account is 30 days old or you have 10 comments published.

If you are struggling

The communities are not a crisis service and nobody is watching them around the clock. If you or someone you know needs help now, please use one of these.

If you delete your account

When you delete your free account you choose whether your posts go too. Either they are removed, or they stay with your display name replaced by “Former member”.
